Rhett, in the stairwell before the show started.

This was a really fun night. The show was sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft. Tickets were only $5. Now, I had a silly little "Only With Murry" rule, but for five dollars, I could see Rhett perform without Murry. So I took my little digital camera, and these are the results. I'm not super pleased, I'll admit, compared with the quality from my huge SLR, but I didn't want to risk taking my Nikon SLR to a club without permission. Anyhow, I wrote down the songs played, totally not in order, although the first and last entries are correct.

The review I posted on hitchhiking basically said this: I spoke with Rhett briefly before the show. He was really excited but nervous about the low turnout during the opening band. He need not have feared. The crowd swelled for him, then QUICKLY emptied out for the remainder Evan Dando plus band. Great sound, great lighting, great venue. They even fed him, apparently. All in all, it just rocked. People were into him. Girls were happy. A girl in the bathroom even told me that she LOVED it, even though she'd never heard him or the Old 97's.
