Now this is a great way to kick off a summer tour. John has a new bass player and is probably playing near you, as he tours ALL THE TIME (and soon, with the mountain goats, a pairing of such talent and strength and really, you should get tickets in advance). SO GO SEE HIM! His live shows are a sonic delight and "Up Above the Sea" (from "Cellar Door") sounds incredible in person. On with the photos!
