Skills and tricks:
You can use google as your dictionary. In the google search bar, type this:
define: gyre
Then you'll see some pretty definitions. Now only if they would correct misspellings.
Try taking polaroids. Try holding the camera away from your eye. Try looking at something other than your subject.
Lift your camera over your head when walking through a crowded club.
Smile. Be goofy. Take a photo when you think it wouldn't make a good photo.
Take two photos in a row. Be noble in the first one. Then be ridiculous.
My mom said this to me in a letter:
"There was a folder that said Vanguard, and it even had all the parent and student handbooks and pta stuff and how to park to pick up your children. But the best things in it were the letters that I had written to Mrs. Edwards and to some teacher about tests that you were given. I complained about worksheets that asked you to color food that made a "good" breakfast. The picture was not there, but I can only guess that maybe it had cake and cookies and a soft drink and then the regular cereal and egg things. But there was pancakes, and you had not colored the pancakes and had been graded "wrong"! Then you had drawn in a piece of whole wheat toast for the little boy.
.... Then I found another letter that complained about the famous
'moss is not a flower' incident."
