This was a fun and strange show for me. After the smoke incident from the 2001 show, I got to the club early and wedged myself up against the stage. I somehow landed between Rhett and Murry. I also landed between two HUGE monitors, towering on the already-high stage. I physically could not see over the combined height of the stage and monitors, so I had to shoot in the little gaps between the plethora of monitors adorning the front of the stage. Now, shooting straight up into someone's face is never pleasing, unless you have gorgeous nose hair. The set-up actually managed to make Grey look strangely pale and grotesque in 95% of the photos (and she is a hot woman with gorgeous skin). And Rhett looked equally strange above me. So I did what I could, moved around a bit, then finally had the nerve to walk around to the back/side of the stage during the encore. This allowed me to see the crowd as they see the crowd. I only got one smack from a stage hand (when he shoved me out of the way to try to fix Rhett's solo guitar) and even got a small nod of approval/recognition from Noah.
